Where the full game is available

  • Windows and Steam Deck: Steam. Steam Deck works through the trackpads because there is no native gamepad control.
  • Android phones and tablets: Google Play. The store was showing 1.0.5-rc.7 in its "What's new" field when checked.
  • iPhone and iPad: App Store. The US listing showed $9.99 when checked; price and tax can vary by region.

The full game is not officially available for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Mac, Linux, Chromebook, or browsers. The studio says console support is not currently planned, not that it can never happen.

Release and current version scope

How Many Dudes? released on July 30, 2026. Steam identifies the release date as July 30, and the official support page gives the global launch time as 5 PM UTC.

The official patch page's latest listed entry when checked was 1.0.5-rc.8 dated August 1, 2026. That page also says only versions marked released are generally available, so a listed release candidate should not be assumed to be live on every store. Google Play was surfacing 1.0.5-rc.7; App Store uses a separate build-number display and links back to the official changelog.

Official demo and lawful free options

The official game site lists three official demo locations. The Steam demo is the current, recommended version: it is the best representation of the released game, and its progress transfers to the Steam full version.

The other two official locations are the browser demos on itch.io and GX.games. They are legacy pre-alpha versions with substantial differences from the final game; there is no full-game browser release.

For searches containing free or crack:

  • Use the official Steam demo, or buy through Steam, Google Play, or the App Store.
  • Do not download repacks, cracks, APKs, or installers from unofficial sites.
  • The developer explicitly warns that other "free" versions are likely scam or malware attempts.

Price

The stated standard launch price was $14.99 USD on Steam and $9.99 USD on mobile. Storefront discounts, regional pricing, currency, and tax change independently; check the official store before purchasing rather than relying on a frozen sale price in a guide.

Cross-save and save transfer

How Many Dudes? supports full cross-platform save syncing across supported platforms through Rumpus. Sign into the same Rumpus account on each device to continue the same progress.

Local save access is still useful for support:

  • Windows: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\HowManyDudes
  • iOS: available through File Sharing where supported.
  • Android: not normally accessible without rooting, which the developer does not recommend.

For a bug, search the official support information first, then use the developer's Feedbag flow. The official support page also points players to the How Many Dudes subreddit and Butterscotch Discord; those links are in this site's footer rather than on a thin standalone community page.

Controls and performance

PC uses a mouse; mobile uses touch. Gamepads are not supported natively. Mobile is capped at 60 FPS for battery and heat, while PC performance scales with the hardware and the game was built with 4K assets.
